The steering committee of the International Carthage Theatre Days  Festival “ JTC” is happy to announce that the 24th session of the festival will be held from December 2 to 10, 2023. Accordingly, a call for participation is launched for the following categories:

– Official competition and parallel programming: open to Tunisian, Arab and African professional theater structures.

– Theatrical expressions of Immigration: open to Tunisian, Arab and African playwrights from the diaspora.

 – Theater of the World: open to non-Arab and non-African professional theater pieces and artistic performances.

Participation guidelines :

– Only projects produced after the application deadline of the previous session can be submitted  (September 10,  2022).

– The companies selected to participate in the official competition of the festival are required to hold two performances on the same day and in the same venue allocated by the festival direction.

– The direction of “ J T C” reserves the right, during the period of the festival, to program more than one performance of the participating work in the framework of international and parallel performances within the territory of the Republic of Tunisia and this in agreement with the production structure.

– The participating theatrical companies are responsible for the cost of round-trip international transport fares for its members as well as the equipment and accessories necessary for the show.

– The direction of the festival covers the stay of the cast, the director, and three members of the technical team (03) as well as their local transport, for a total number not exceeding 15 people (for the participating companies coming from outside the Republic of Tunisia).

– Only one project can be submitted by the same participating director.

To participate :

The application form can be found on the following link www.jtc.tn including :

• Biographies and photos of the creative team ( playwright, dramaturg, director, cast, technicians…)
• Copies of the passports of the members of the companies coming from abroad.
• The artistic and press file including the synopsis and the critical and media follow-up as well as high-resolution photos.
• The technical Rider containing the design of the set and all the scenic elements required as well as the technical needs in sound and light.
• A document proving officially that the premiere has already taken place (such as a first performance certificate).
• A complete high definition audiovisual recording of the entire show.
• Committment to provid the English subtitles for the performances selected in the different sections (Official Competition, Theatrical Expressions of Immigration, Theatre of the World).

The deadline for submission is July 31, 2023.

Comments:

Applications received after the mentioned deadline and incomplete applications will not be considered.
